Edward Acciardi’s account of the effect of his military service on his life: Edward Acciardi mentioned he went to St. Joseph's Grammar School and High School in I am a veteran of the Korean War serving as a medic from January 18, 1955 to January 18, 1957 My experience during this time period was one of the most rewarding periods in my life. During this time, I realized that I wanted to go to college and that I wanted to spend my working life Edward Acciardi wrote that he went to St. Peter's College in Jersey City for undergraduate studies and New York University for graduate work; then, he concludes: After graduate school in 1960's, I applied for a position in Hackensack High School. I was interviewed for a position as a Social Studies teacher by Carl Padovano. He was the head of the department. I then had interviews with Howard Bollerman, Sr. and Hobie De Puyt, who was Superintendent of Schools. I started work in September of 1962 and retired in June of 1998. I am grateful to the U.S. Government and the Hackensack School System for all they have done for me and for their belief in me that I had something to contribute to society. How lucky can a guy get. |
